Wroclaw. Halina Ołdakowska, director of the Wrocław Opera dismissed from her position

The Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship informed about the adoption of a resolution on the dismissal of Halina Ołdakowska from the position of director of the Wrocław Opera. The reason given was violations of the law in the field of public finance discipline.

The resolution to dismiss the director of the Wrocław Opera was preceded by negative results of an inspection carried out at the opera by the Supreme Audit Office, the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the judgments of the Regional Adjudication Committee operating at the Regional Accounting Chamber, issued after a notification submitted by the Public Finance Ombudsman, the management board informed in a communiqué.

The decision was approved

– The decision of the Board of the Dolnośląskie Voivodeship was preceded by a resolution adopted on February 28 on the intention to dismiss Halina Ołdakowska from her position. The intention resolution was addressed to the opinion of trade unions, professional and artistic associations operating in the opera and to the co-organizer of the Wrocław Opera – the Minister of Culture and National Heritage – informs Krzysztof Maj, member of the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, responsible for culture in the region

– According to the procedure, the time for issuing an opinion was 30 days. All positions were submitted to the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship ahead of schedule and give a positive opinion on the resolution of the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodship – says Maj.
