The Wrocław City Office has provided the latest information on the water level in the Odra. According to the latest indications, it is 636 cm. This is more than the initial models assumed, but it has been reported that the situation in the city is stable. The mayor said that there are many spontaneous actions by residents in Wrocław to strengthen the embankments.

The city office's press office reported that according to the latest indications, the Odra's level is 636 cm. “This is more than the initial models predicted by IMGW assumed, but the situation in the city itself is stable. At the moment, no incidents related to sudden overflows of the Odra have been recorded,” we read.

The President of Polish Waters said at the crisis headquarters in Wrocław that the Odra is 26 centimeters short (data from 7:00) to launch the Odra-Widawa canal. This will allow the water level in the city to be lowered.

Prime minister Donald Tusk he noted that it is much too early to announce that the flood in Wrocław has been overcome. – I would prefer that we hold on nervously and try to guess this trend as accurately as possible, so that we can inform Wrocław residents precisely – he said.

The city's president, Jacek Sutryk, said that the water level on the Małgorzata weir is high enough that water is being pumped from one side to the other. – The idea is to protect Wrocław from the backwater of the Oława River. There are also many grassroots initiatives by residents in the city, who are strengthening the flood embankments – he added.

The most difficult situation is in Marszowice. There, work was underway all night to strengthen the flood embankments. Soldiers WOT Together with the residents, they placed new sandbags to protect the area from flooding.
