The police detained a 57-year-old driver who was driving through Wrocław so daringly that a dog fell out of his car. The driver had 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body. Now he faces three years in prison.
According to staff sergeant Rafał Jarząb from the City Police Headquarters in Wrocław, officers were patrolling the area of Psie Pole. At one point, they noticed a Fiat that suddenly turned into a transverse road, and then a small dog fell out of the car onto the road.
Police: the driver was aggressive and drunk
Had it not been for the police’s intervention, the quadruped could have been hit. They took him from the road, and after a while they stopped the driver of the car, who – as officers report – was very aggressive and made it difficult for the policemen to perform their duties.
It turned out that the 57-year-old resident of Wrocław has over 1.5 per mille of alcohol in the body. In addition, he was not licensed to drive.
Fortunately, nothing happened to the dog and he was taken care of by a trusted person. An drunk driver will be held accountable in court for drunk driving and animal abuse. Only for the latter act, he can be imprisoned for three years.
