An indictment was brought to court regarding fraud in nightclubs. Nine people were charged – seven of them will be held responsible for participating in an organized criminal group. One of the threads investigated by the National Prosecutor's Office was the case of a 36-year-old British citizen who not only lost his money, but also his life. There are over a hundred suspects in the entire investigation.

Central Police Investigation Bureau and the Lower Silesian organized crime section of the National Prosecutor's Office carried out further actions aimed at a group defrauding nightclub customers – Rafał Marczak from the CBŚP press office announced on Tuesday. – Four women who worked in the establishments as managers, a dancer and a bartender were detained. They could have defrauded customers of over PLN 300,000. zloty. Moreover, in this case, the Lower Silesian National Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court against nine people, seven of whom are suspected of participating in an organized criminal group – explained Marczak.

Investigation into extorting money from customers

Police officers from the Kraków Board of the Central Police Investigation Bureau, under the supervision of the Lower Silesian department of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław, have been conducting an investigation since 2022 regarding an organized criminal group extorting money from customers of go-go nightclubs. Recently, officers of the Krakow CBŚP detained four women aged 24 to 37 in Siemianowice, Zakopane, Kraków and Jaworzno, who, according to investigators, worked in clubs where frauds and robberies were committed against customers. – Everything indicates that the detained women may have defrauded customers of nightclubs located in Zakopane, Katowice and Sopot for the amount of over PLN 300,000. zlotys. The detainees were brought to the Lower Silesian department of the National Prosecutor's Office. The announced charges concerned participation in an organized criminal group, fraud and robbery – said Marczak.

They have over 100 suspects

He explained that there are already over a hundred suspects in the entire nightclub case. The Lower Silesian branch of the National Prosecutor's Office submitted an indictment to the court against nine people, seven of whom are suspected of participating in an organized criminal group. – One of the threads examined as part of this investigation was the case of a 36-year-old British citizen who, in 2017, in a Krakow club, was deprived not only of his money, but above all of his life. The man was deliberately made deeply drunk, then he was robbed and no help was provided, as a result of which he died. As it turned out, tests showed that he had four per mille of alcohol in his blood – said Marczak.
