During Tuesday’s listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, WIG achieved a historic result – the level of 68,616.1 points. This is another record of this index in recent days. The quotations were commented on by the Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin in social media.
The WIG broke its all-time record at the very beginning of trading. Just after nine o’clock it reached 68,587.97 points. This was reported, inter alia, by WSE on its Twitter profile. “Holidays are in full swing and the WIG index is breaking record after record! Currently, the highest result in history is 68,587.97 points.” – posted on the Stock Exchange profile.
Jacek Sasin, deputy prime minister and minister of state assets, also referred to this entry on Twitter. “Another record behind us! It’s good” – he wrote on his profile.

However, this record was soon broken. Around 11.40, the WIG value reached 68,616.1 points. This is the highest value that the WIG index has ever achieved in history.
The WIG index has been performing very well in recent days. On Monday – for the fourth time in a row – it recorded a record closure. At the final of trading, it had a value of 68,487.65 points.
