In the Liniewo commune in Kashubia, a passenger car drove off the road and hit a tree. A two-year-old child died on the spot, and the driver of the car, the child’s pregnant 21-year-old mother, is in a serious condition in hospital.
Piotr Kwidzynski, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Kościerzyna, informed that the accident occurred after 5 p.m. on the route between Wysin and Chrusty Wysińskie in the Liniewo commune.
– The driver of the Skoda Fabia drove off the right shoulder on a straight section of the road and hit a tree. As a result of the impact, a two-year-old child died on the spot – added Kwidzński. As the Polish Press Agency found out, the pregnant 21-year-old mother of the child driving the car was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
After hitting a tree, the car rolled over. The child was sitting in a car seat in the back of the vehicle.
