Wyskoki, province Lodz. The car hit a tree, two men died. Police are appealing for witnesses

On Sunday evening in Wyskoki (Łódź Voivodeship) a BMW passenger car with two men inside hit a tree. A 44-year-old Georgian citizen, who was the driver, and his passenger, whose identity has not yet been established, died on the spot.

The services of the accident were notified at 19:15. According to senior captain Dominik Wilk from the State Fire Service in Zgierz, three fire brigades and a medical rescue team were sent to the site. The police also showed up.

“Unfortunately, two men traveling in the car died,” the firefighter said.

Searching for witnesses

Aspirant Robert Borowski from the Zgierz district police headquarters in Zgierz reports that a 44-year-old Georgian was behind the wheel of the car. A man in his 40s was traveling next to him. His identity remains unknown, police said.

He said officers are trying to determine why the car left the road and hit a tree.

– Most likely the car was going too fast, the force of the impact was very high. At this stage, however, we are not ruling anything out,” the police officer said.

He appealed for witnesses to the accident or anyone with information that could help determine the circumstances of the tragedy to contact them.
