Officers of the Customs and Tax Service entered a farm in the commune of Wysokie Mazowieckie (Podlaskie Voivodeship), where they found nearly seven thousand packs of illegal cigarettes and 52.5 kilograms of tobacco without Polish excise stamps. The goods were hidden in the boxes where the cows were.

The 45-year-old owner of a farm in the commune of Wysokie Mazowieckie heard charges under the Fiscal Penal Code. He is fined for the excise brokerage.

This happened after the officers of the Customs and Tax Service from Bialystok established that illegal tobacco products may be found on his property.

“If the secured tobacco products were put on the market, the state budget would lose almost PLN 230,000” – reads the communiqué.
