He tried to break into a new house, and while escaping he forgot about his car, which contained his documents, said the spokesman for the Wyszkow police, Commissioner Damian Wroczyński.
Wroczyński informed that on the night from Friday to Saturday the duty officer was notified of a break-in to the new house. The owner found damaged fence of the property and garage door through which the burglar wanted to get inside. Camera wires were also cut.
Startled, he forgot about the car
The security measures turned out to be effective and prevented anyone from entering the house. – The burglar was frightened and ran away, but he forgot to take the car, which was secured several dozen meters from the crime scene – said the spokesman. Inside the car, the police found identification documents and tools that could be used in burglary.
Police officers from Wyszków and Pułtusk detained two residents of the Pułtusk district in this case. On the basis of the evidence collected, one of them was charged with attempted burglary. The 38-year-old pleaded guilty to the charges against him. The prosecutor applied a preventive measure in the form of police supervision against the man. Now the court will decide the fate of the resident of the Pułtusk district. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
