The 27-year-old Skoda driver hit the traffic separator protecting the distributor, and then overturned. He was drunk and had no license to drive. As if that wasn’t enough, drugs were found on the man. Now he faces severe criminal and financial consequences.

The incident took place at a petrol station on the S8 expressway in Trzcianka. – The duty officer of the Wyszków police officers received a report about a collapsing Skoda, whose driver is probably intoxicated. Traffic policemen went to the site and determined that a 27-year-old resident of the Wyszków district was driving a passenger car, Damian Wroczyński, spokesman for the local police, told us.

– Uniforms from the driver smelled alcohol right away. A breathalyzer test showed 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his body. After checking the police systems, it turned out that the man does not have a driving license. He explained to the uniformed officers that he was using the phone while driving, which is why he hit the traffic separator that was protecting the distributor. The 27-year-old was arrested and taken to a police cell, the police officer added.

In addition, as indicated by Wroczyński, during the search, the police found mephedrone on the driver. – Therefore, his blood was taken for laboratory tests to check whether he was under the influence not only of alcohol but also of drugs during the incident – ​​informed the policeman.

– When the 27-year-old was sobering up in police custody, the criminals collected and analyzed the trial material. On the basis of the collected evidence, a resident of the Wyszków district heard charges of driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated without the required license and possession of drugs, he added.

The man confessed to the charges against him. Now the court will decide his fate. He is threatened with up to three years in prison, a court disqualification from driving and a high financial penalty of not less than PLN 5,000 for driving under the influence of alcohol and up to PLN 30,000 for driving without a license.

Police officers remind you that driving while intoxicated carries not only legal consequences, but above all the risk of causing a tragic accident, because alcohol reduces the speed of reaction, reduces the field of vision, and causes incorrect judgment of distance and speed.
