A 56-year-old driver of a passenger car, wanting to avoid a person in a wheelchair in the town of Wytyczno (Lublin Province), drove into the opposite lane, where two motorcyclists were traveling. A head-on collision could have occurred. The motorcyclists drove off the roadside, fell over and drove into a ditch. An LPR helicopter landed on the scene.

The accident occurred on Sunday (September 22) after 12 noon in the town of Wytyczno, on national road number 82.

According to initial police findings, a 56-year-old from Wodzisław County, who was driving a Kia car, wanted to avoid a 55-year-old in a wheelchair. The driver suddenly drove into the opposite lane, which was occupied by two motorcyclists.

“A 27-year-old resident of WÅ‚odawa and a 24-year-old from the Hanna commune, in order to avoid a collision, pulled over to the side of the road, then fell and drove into a roadside ditch,” wrote cadet Elwira Tadyniewicz from the District Police Headquarters in WÅ‚odawa in a statement.

The motorcyclists were taken to hospital. An LPR helicopter landed on site. The police are investigating the details of the incident.
