An extremely difficult summer

The weather in China has been exceptionally violent in recent weeks. The country is regularly hit by typhoons or their remnants. The phenomena bring with them huge rainfall and gales.

In some regions in the north of the country, it has been raining continuously since the end of July. Soil that is too saturated will not hold up. For this reason, a mudslide occurred in Shaanxi province in the northwest on Friday. The death toll rose to 21 on Sunday.
