On Saturday afternoon at ul. On May 3, in Zabrze, policemen from the Road Traffic Department noticed a motorcycle with an incorrectly mounted registration plate. The uniforms tried to stop the motorcycle driver by turning on light and sound signals.
“The motorcyclist did not slow down and began to run away from the policemen, committing many offenses and posing a real threat to other road users, including pedestrians” – the Zabrze command said.

He managed to escape to Ruda Śląska. The chase ended in this city, in an empty parking lot at Ogrodnicza Street, where the policemen cut off his escape route.

The arrested 23-year-old told police that he was running away from them because he had no license to drive motorcycles and wanted to see if he could escape. According to the police, the 23-year-old, who knowingly did not stop for a roadside inspection, committed an act that until recently was classified as a misdemeanor. Now, failure to stop for inspection is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison. The court may also prohibit driving for up to 15 years.
In addition, the man will answer for an active attack on a policeman whom he tried to ram with a motorcycle while trying to escape. The suspect is now facing a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment.
