In Zagórze (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) in the Osława River, the family found the body of a 52-year-old woman. The woman went to the river to collect nettles, when she did not return home for a long time, the concerned family decided to look for her.

The incident happened on Tuesday (June 13). After 3 p.m., the emergency services were alerted that a woman’s body had been pulled from the Osława River in Zagórze (Sanok district).

As it turned out, she was a 52-year-old resident of Zagórze. – According to the findings of the police officers, the woman went to the river to collect nettles, when she did not return for a long time, the family became concerned and went to the river to look for her. The woman’s body is in the water – Anna Oleniacz, press officer of the Sanok County Police Headquarters, tells us.

They tried to save the woman, but to no avail

Emergency services arrived at the scene and resuscitated the 52-year-old woman, but to no avail. The attending physician ruled out that other people contributed to the woman’s death. The prosecutor withdrew from the autopsy and decided to release the body to the family.

Police appeal for safety on the water.
