A 36-year-old Ford driver who rammed a power pole and a house fence in Żarki (Silesian Voivodeship) had nearly three per mille of alcohol in his body. As a result, residents of the area were cut off from electricity for several hours.
The incident occurred on Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. on Koziegłowska Street in Żarki near Myszków. The driver of the Ford lost control of the vehicle on a curve and went off the road.
After driving across the opposite lane, an inert car cut down a power pole and then rammed the fence of one of the houses. As a result, the man cut off electricity to residents of the area for several hours.
Fortunately, no one was hurt.
The driver was drunk
It turned out that the 36-year-old was drunk at the time of the incident. A breathalyzer test showed that he had almost three per mille of alcohol in his body.

“A resident of Dąbrowa Górnicza has had his driving license suspended. He will soon explain his behavior in court,” the Silesian police said in a statement.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is punishable by up to three years in prison.
