In a state of law, it is the bandits who have to be afraid and bear the consequences – said Zbigniew Ziobro, referring to the robbery of a store in Kobyłka, after which one of the attackers died. As the Minister of Justice said, the owner “successfully defended himself against the attack of two drug-filled, armed, previously punished bandits”. According to him, “the state must always stand on the side of decent citizens who successfully defend themselves.”

Minister of Justice and Attorney General Zbigniew Ziobro referred to Saturday’s robbery of a store in Kobyłka, in which one of the attackers was mortally wounded. As the minister said in the recording published by the ministry on Twitter, “the state must always stand on the side of decent citizens who effectively defend themselves”.

– The owner of the store in Kobyłka successfully defended himself against the attack of two drug-filled, armed, previously punished thugs. He mortally wounded one of them, defending his life and that of the saleswoman, he said.

According to Ziobro, “in a state of law, it is the bandits who have to be afraid and bear the consequences.” – That is why the second of the perpetrators was arrested, and the owner of the shop, effective in defending himself, acts as a victim – he added.

Robbery of a store in Kobyłka

Robbery of a shop in Kobyłka near Warsaw took place on the night from Sunday to Monday. Prosecutor Katarzyna Skrzeczkowska reported on Monday that two attackers in balaclavas entered the store half an hour before midnight. – One of them had a firearm. The second metal tube. Inside, they found a store employee. One of the men tried to steal money. Then the shop owner came in. There was a struggle and the owner stabbed one of the attackers with a knife, after which the attackers ran away, prosecutor Skrzeczkowska said.

As previously reported by the police, in the vicinity of the station PKP one of the men was found dead. “Unfortunately, we couldn’t save him,” said Asp. Monika Kaczyńska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Wołomin. At the scene, investigators secured a knife and a metal pipe, and the prosecutor’s office launched an investigation into attempted robbery with the use of dangerous tools.

On Monday evening, police officers from Wołomin detained the second of the perpetrators in Kobyłka. At the same time, the officers secured weapons for ballistic tests. According to PAP, the detainee is a 22-year-old Polish citizen.
