Police officers from Zelow (Łódź Province) under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office are clarifying the circumstances of the accident in which a 48-year-old man driving a quad died. Rescue services were called to the scene by a resident of Jawor, who, on his way home, saw an overturned vehicle by the side of the road and the driver lying next to it.
The incident took place on March 26, around 3 pm, in the town of Jawor in the municipality of Zelów in the Bełchatów district. A man walking saw an overturned ATV and a man lying next to it.

– Preliminary findings of the police officers working on the spot show that a 48-year-old resident of the Zelów commune, driving a quad bike, lost control of the vehicle on the road bend and hit a roadside tree. Rescue services were called to the scene by a resident of Jawor, who, while returning home on foot, saw an overturned quad and the driver lying next to the road – describes Superintendent Iwona Kaszewska from the Bełchatów Police Department.
The police officer added that despite resuscitation, the quad driver died on the spot. – The policemen, under the supervision of the prosecutor, inspected the scene and the vehicle, secured forensic traces. Investigators found that the man was not wearing a helmet.
