The owner of a transport company with a revoked driving license was driving a coach filled with passengers. The trip to Zakopane was interrupted in the vicinity of Sucha Beskidzka, where the vehicle was stopped for inspection by the police. The 59-year-old will appear in court.

It was supposed to be a routine check – but it turned out that a longer stop was being prepared for the participants of the trip to Zakopane. Police officers stopped on Saturday (February 11) in Zembrzyce on the national road No. 28 a coach whose driver should not sit behind the wheel.

Police: the driving owner had his license revoked

The bus was full of passengers, officials said. Behind the wheel was a 59-year-old resident of the Wadowice district. He did not have a driving license because his license had already been revoked.

– The policemen did not have to notify the head of the transport company about this incident, because he was sitting behind the wheel himself – said the staff assistant Wojciech Copija, the press officer of the police in Sucha Beskidzka, in a message. Passengers of the bus heading to Zakopane were forced to wait for a new driver, but with permissions, to appear.

According to police, the 59-year-old owner of the company will now appear in court for the crime. He could face up to two years in prison and a driving ban of one to 15 years.
