In every government, I think there are ministers who work and ministers who prefer to comment. I chose work. The Ministry of Development and Minister Paszyk have clearly, for now, chosen to comment – said Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk from the Left, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. Paszyk's response was not long in coming.

Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk from the Left, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, was asked in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about the spot with her participation, which promotes the so-called “granny”, i.e. the program “Active Parent”. The Prime Minister was to reprimand the minister in this matter. The accusation is that although the spot is informative in nature, an active politician also appears in it, in this case the minister.

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on the “government confession”: it is rather a summary

– The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy is the ministry, due to the area it deals with, which is really one of the most active and prepares the most socially significant programs, (…). But we also have to promote it like the Ministry of Education (MEN) promotes educational programs, just like the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Sport – sports – she said.

She added that “up until now, it was completely standard and normal that ministers were also personally involved in this promotion”, who endorsed specific projects with their faces and took responsibility for them. “But in the conditions that we inherited (from PiS – ed.), it is extremely important to be especially careful,” she admitted.

She also referred to her conversation with Prime Minister Tusk on the subject. – This conversation, which did not take place face to face, was a calm conversation of the Prime Minister about the future, about what new standards of communication, information, and government information policy will be forged – she reported.

Asked whether this was a form of “confession” that the head of government had previously announced in connection with the upcoming anniversary of the parliamentary elections, she replied that “it would be better to call it a summary”.

Dziemianowicz-Bąk on Minister Paszyk's “bizarre media tour”

The minister also referred to the differences of opinion in the government on some issues, including with the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk from PSL. The disputes concern, among others, zero percent credit or a four-week working day.

She spoke of Paszyk's “bizarre, very strange media tour”, referring to his recent statements. – For the past week, every day, with commitment worthy of a larger cause, he talked about draft laws or ideas, but not his ministry, but my ministry – she accused.

– Of course, I would prefer to talk to Minister Paszyk face to face, but he has never approached me with any suggestions, (…) it is clearly Minister Paszyk who needs to talk to me about the projects we are preparing in the ministry – she added.

– I guess it's like this in every government that there are ministers who work and there are ministers who prefer to comment. I chose work, the Ministry of Labor chose work, the Ministry of Development and Minister Paszyk have clearly chosen commenting for now – Dziemianowicz-Bąk continued.

At the same time, the representative of the Left said that Krzysztof Paszyk's ministry should deal with problems related to the project on zero percent credit. – If I could repay the minister with something for the numerous pieces of advice, warnings, and cautions he has been giving me through the media in the last week, I would advise him to deal with this problem – she added. She assured that “this is not an exchange of blows” in the government.

Paszyk's response was not long in coming. “The Minister of Labor on TVN24 sheds crocodile tears for half the program… It's a pity he doesn't understand that ideas like a four-day work week will ruin Polish entrepreneurs and may contribute to price increases. Including housing prices,” he wrote.
