The driver fainted behind the wheel and hit three cars parked in Zgierz (Łódź Voivodeship). His car caught fire. An off-duty police officer rushed to the man’s aid.
The incident took place on July 20 at around 4:30 p.m. on Dubois Street in Zgierz. An off-duty police officer from Aleksandrów Łódzki witnessed a BMW drive off the road and hit three cars parked nearby.

According to Deputy Commissioner Robert Borowski from the Zgierz police, the driver of the BMW fainted behind the wheel and hit the parked vehicles. His car caught fire. An off-duty officer stopped to assist the driver. Due to the inability to open the door and the vehicle being jammed on the driver’s side, the officer broke the window in the car and opened the door. The driver then regained consciousness. And he adds: – The policeman called for help. He also asked a random passerby to control the man’s vital functions and talk to him. He started to turn off the car.

Doctors from the medical rescue team took care of the injured man, the fire brigade secured the vehicle from another fire.
