Zhuklin. Two teenagers will be responsible for destroying figurines in the shrine

Police officers detained a 12- and 13-year-old boy suspected of destroying figurines in a shrine in Żuklin (Podkarpackie Voivodeship). The boys heard allegations of insulting religious feelings, to which – as reported by the police – they admitted. However, they did not explain what caused their behavior.

According to the police, the figurines in a roadside shrine in Żuklin were destroyed on July 10. The devastated figurines were noticed by one of the residents, who informed the police about this fact. The statues of Mary and Jesus had m.in. burnt out eyes.

As the Poviat Police Headquarters in Przeworsk announced on Monday, the perpetrators of the destruction of the figurines were arrested last Friday (August 4).

The suspects are two residents of the commune of Kańczuga, aged 12 and 13KPP Przeworsk

The suspects are 12 and 13 years old. They will answer for their actions in the family court

“The suspects of this act are two young residents of the Kańczuga commune, aged 12 and 13. The evidence collected by the officers allowed for the presentation of allegations of offending religious feelings. During the interrogation, the juveniles admitted to the alleged acts” – the Przeworsk police reported.

Further proceedings in this case will be conducted by the Family and Juvenile Court in Przeworsk.
