Soldiers from the Central Center for Contamination Analysis will be sent to the place of the fire in the hall with chemical waste in Zielona Góra, the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak announced on Saturday. About 100 WOT soldiers were also involved in removing the effects of the fire.

Military firefighters are also working on site,” the head of the Ministry of National Defense wrote on Twitter. About 100 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces were also involved in removing the effects of the fire, the minister added.
Chemical warehouse fire
A hall is burning in the town of Przylep near Zielona Górawhere hazardous substances were stored. The Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Elżbieta Polak, emphasized that it was a very large warehouse of hazardous waste. – Nobody knows what is there, it all looks very dramatic, a very big threat – she said on TVN24. She assured that hospitals are on standby, the ambulance service is also strengthened, and two ambulance teams are available.

Dozens of fire brigades are fighting the fire, and more are arriving all the time. Two firefighting planes were also put at the disposal of the State Fire Service, which administered the extinguishing agent from above. Fighting the fire from the air was carried out until sunset, then the planes stopped their activities.
According to firefighters, there were about 5,000 cubic meters of stored material in the hall. Not all substances are identified.
