After the meeting, Elżbieta Polak, Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, spoke to journalists. – At the moment, the voivode together with President Janusz Kubicki are powdering the clouds of smoke that hovered over Przylep. – I also asked whether Minister Moscow knew the expert opinion of the Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection, which was prepared at the request of the prosecutor. She replied that she knew. I have presented an excerpt from this expert opinion, in which the experts pointed out the presence of a strong poison and concluded that in the event of the disaster we are currently dealing with, the area should be isolated and the inhabitants evacuated. The governor interrupted me and said that nothing of the sort had happened, everything was under control, the services were working efficiently – reported the Pole.

She added that “she asked for specific guidelines from this instruction, because on the basis of this instruction, yesterday the president ordered preparations for evacuation and informed the residents on his profile about the evacuation, which was later canceled.” – Minister Moscow and the voivode stated that there was no such need, because we are here and now, and this expertise was prepared several years earlier – said the marshal.

– This is very worrying because these research results have not been shown. The Provincial Inspectorate for Environmental Protection informed that tests on the roofs will be carried out, that at the moment they do not have the equipment to perform these tests at height and they are taken from five meters – she said.

The speech of Marshal Polak was interrupted by the president of Zielona Góra, Janusz Kubicki. He came in front of the cameras and accused her of “introducing misinformation and telling untruths”.

– They said that the tests were carried out at different heights. Not at 5 meters, you should have listened. Not that “they will be made”, only that “they were made” on the roofs, that they were made in the cloud of smoke itself and the cloud was not exceeded – he said.

Marshal Polak suggested that he should provide journalists with precise information. President Kubicki refused, saying that it would take place soon briefing of the voivode and the minister of climate.

Journalists questioned him about the evacuation of residents, which he announced on social media on Saturday afternoon. He replied: – I did not make any decision to evacuate.

Later, after the briefing, the president apologized. – I would like to apologize for my emotional speech, but it is hard to keep your balance and nerves in check when you hear stories that do not fully reflect what is happening in reality and cause anxiety among residents – he said.

At the end, Marshal Polak appeared in front of the camera again. – Yesterday, at 19.08, the mayor of the city of Zielona Góra posted an evacuation message on his official website. That’s the truth. After 8.30 p.m., the voivode canceled the evacuation, she informed. At 10 am on Sunday morning, the message was still available on the president’s profile.
