The 29-year-old was wanted to serve a sentence of one hundred days in prison, now he is facing a longer sentence – this is the result of his escape from the police in Złotoryja in Lower Silesia. The man did not stop for control and drove into the barriers during the chase, almost falling into the lagoon. He continued his escape on foot, but the police turned out to be faster. After the arrest, it turned out that he had five driving bans.

The incident happened around midnight on Tuesday to Wednesday. The police tried to stop the car for inspection, but the driver did not stop when he saw the blue lights. Instead, he started running away.

Initially, the man was moving along the streets of the city, then, breaking the regulations, he rode a pedestrian and bicycle path leading to the Złotoryja reservoir, drove onto its crown and escaped along the pavement leading around the reservoir.

Eventually, the car hit the railings and nearly fell into the water. This, however, did not stop the driver, who at all costs did not want to give up control and fled on foot. After running a few hundred meters, the uniforms successfully overpowered the runaway, and the broken car was removed by roadside assistance, informed the junior aspirant Dominika Kwakszys from the Złotoryja police in a message.
