Żukowo. A 17-year-old attacked his schoolmates with a knife. He has been stopped

In Żukowo (Pomerania), a 17-year-old stabbed his schoolmates and ran away. The police say there was a misunderstanding between the boys. The officers detained him several minutes after the incident. The injured were taken to hospital. The 17-year-old was charged.

The incident took place on Friday, June 21, in the morning. A 17-year-old stabbed three people, aged 14, 16 and 17. Commissioner Piotr Kurowski, deputy head of the Prevention Department of the District Police Headquarters in Kartuzy, said that the boy was detained at the bus stop several minutes after the incident.

– He's their friend from school. As the police initially determined, there was a misunderstanding between the students, the 17-year-old suddenly injured his friends with a knife and fled the scene – he added.

The officers seized the knife used to injure the boys. The 17-year-old was taken to the police station.

The teenagers were taken to hospital. – There is no threat to their lives – assured the policeman.

Charges and restraining order

Karina Kamińska, spokeswoman for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk, announced that on Saturday the police brought a 17-year-old to the District Prosecutor's Office in Kartuzy, who was charged with “taking part in a fight using a dangerous tool, which he used to injure the bodies of the other participants of the event.”

– The district prosecutor in Kartuzy imposed police supervision on the man and imposed a ban on approaching and contacting the victims – added Kamińska.

Investigators interview witnesses and analyze the collected evidence, including: records from surveillance cameras as well as recordings provided by witnesses, which record the course of the fight.
