Zvolen. He stole a car, didn't pay for fuel, drove into a pole and was arrested

A 41-year-old man was caught by the police. As they established, the man went on a drive in a stolen car from Zwoleń (Masovian Voivodeship) to Dęblin (Lubelskie Voivodeship). When he ran out of gas on the way, he filled up the tank but didn't pay. The car hit a fence and a pole and did not reach its destination.

On Saturday, police officers from Zwoleń (Masovian Voivodeship) received a report about the theft of fuel at one of the stations in the city.

The patrol found that the thief was a person driving a Skoda with Kielce license plates. “Half an hour later, the officer on duty received information that a road accident had occurred in Bierdzieża, where the driver hit the fence of the property and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The patrol on site found a crashed car corresponding to the one involved in the theft of fuel,” said Junior Asp. . Katarzyna Słyk from the District Police Headquarters in Zwoleń.

He was going to Dęblin, he ran out of fuel

The police determined that the vehicle involved in the incident had been stolen in the Kielce district. Police officers from the police stations in Zwoleń, Kozienice and Radom took action.

While checking the area, the officers received information that there was a man in the Policzna commune who may be responsible for the theft of a vehicle. They went to the place and found a 41-year-old resident of the Kielce district at the given address. According to the officers, the man admitted that he stole the Skoda.

“He wanted to get to Dęblin by car. While passing through Zwoleń, he ran out of fuel, so he stole it at one of the stations,” Słyk added. However, he did not reach Dęblin because he ended his ride on a fence and a pole.

He was wanted and was charged

While verifying the data provided in the system, it turned out that the 41-year-old was wanted by the Kielce police. The man was arrested. He was sober. At the District Police Headquarters in Zwoleń he heard, among others: a charge of particularly daring theft, punishable by up to eight years in prison.

After the activities were completed, the man was placed in police custody and then handed over to Kielce officers, where he will be charged with car theft.
