The princely court in Liechtenstein decided the dispute regarding the validity of changes in the statute of the Tivi Foundation and the transfer of controls over it, made on August 2, 2024. In the issued ruling, he fully agreed to the children of Zygmunt Solorz and dismissed the lawsuit filed by their father. Zygmunt Solorz announced an appeal against an unlawful court judgment in Liechtenstein.

Aleksandra Żak, Tobias Solorz and Piotr Żak informed about the court's decision in Liechtenstein.

Statement of the children of Zygmunt Solorz

It indicates that the surroundings of Zygmunt Solorz tried to negate the validity of the statement in which he renounced active control over the Tivi Foundation, which is the owner of the Polsat Plus Group.

“However, the court's decision is clear. The decisions of the TIVI Foundation statute launching irrevocable succession are important. The court also emphasized that we have never misled and we did not cheat on our father. This judgment has a double symbolic dimension for us” – wrote the children of Solorz.

In their opinion, the court's decision confirms the stability and maturity of the Polsat Group's business model.

“In a crisis situation, constructed many years ago, the mechanism of succession and securing the family and property against attempts to manipulate or take over people from outside, worked. Despite the brutal attack on the family, us and the interest of companies managed by the family, fuses in the system fulfilled its role. The court's judgment confirms that the succession was made” – wrote in a statement.

“Secondly, which is particularly important to us, the court clearly emphasized that there is no evidence or premises that our father was misled by us. Terrible attempts to attribute to us against the will or in conflict with the Father proved to be lying and unworthy” – added.

Solorz's children: The most important fight, unfortunately, does not end

The children of Zygmunt Solorz provide both the surroundings inside and all stakeholders and the market that their priority will continue to guard security, but also the development of companies.

“At the same time, although the court's decision brings peace in the business field, the most important fight, unfortunately, does not end. The court judgment only confirms how far our fears were about the safety of the Father and the harmful influence that people exert on him, trying to take over his property. We will not stop in this fight. We will not allow either the destabilization of companies or breaking the family” – it was written in a statement.

Statement of Zygmunt Solorz

Zygmunt Solorz also issued a statement by announcing an appeal against a court judgment in Liechtenstein. “The judgment of the court of first instance does not change anything in the facts. What is crucial is the fact that Zygmunt Solorz has retained control over the TIVI Foundation. The court's decision is not final. Zygmunt Solorz will appeal against the said judgment,” he was sent in a statement sent in PAP.

Zygmunt Solorz and the dispute over succession

Zygmunt Solorz is one of the richest Poles, the founder and main shareholder of the Polsat Plus Group. A dispute about succession is to be underway in his immediate surroundings. In March 2024, Solorz got married to Justyna Kulka and – according to the media – it was with her that the children of the billionaire – Tobias Solorz and Aleksandra and Piotr Å»akowie are fighting for her property.

On August 2, Solorz signed a notarial statement, under which he gave them co -conducting over the key foundations of TIVI (gathering media and telecommunications businesses for the property – including Polsat, Polkomtel, Netia) and Solkomtel (focusing energy businesses). Both are registered in Liechtenstein.

A day later, the billionaire wanted to withdraw from this decision and informed about it at the meeting of his two sons. Solorz's children suspected – according to media reports – that the father's decision changed under the influence of Justyna Kulka. On August 13, Solorz signed another notarial statement, in which he is evading the legal effects of the transfer of property to Tobias Solorz and Aleksandra and Piotr Å»akom, because – as he argued – this was “under the influence of error caused by a trick.”

This gave rise to a court dispute between Solor and his children, who took place in Liechtenstein, i.e. where both foundations are registered.

On September 26, Solorz announced actions to lead to the dismissal of children from the authorities of controlled companies. Shortly afterwards, the two sons of Solorz lost their positions on supervisory boards from PAK, Netia, Polkomtel and Cyfrowy Polsat.

Zygmunt Solorz about the dispute with children

Zygmunt Solorz referred to the dispute with children in an interview with the magazine “Forbes”, which was published in December.

“Forbes” asked why on December 15, 2023, on a jointly established date, the foundation management was not transferred to children.

– This date was the initiative of my children, which turned out to be impatient. It was the first attempt to accelerate what I planned for later. They wanted to enter my rights in the foundation on December 15, 2023 and I was initially succumbed to them. We made such entries a few months earlier. But eventually I changed my mind (…). You know, children have to be trusted, so I agreed. But then I saw that they were not valid and ungrateful. To do business, you have to learn a lot – he said.

Solorz said that “like every parent, I wanted to provide my children with the best. I gave them a good and prosperous life, they worked for me, everything they have, they owe me.”

– And so it should be because it is normal in every family. Well, but apparently they wanted more and faster, contrary to my plans and my cost. In August this year they made a second attempt to accelerate the takeover of management – he added.
