An incident involving a courier company's car occurred on Friday in Żyrardów. The driver of the van lost control of the car, and the vehicle went off the road. When the services tried to pull it out, it caught fire.
The incident occurred after 5 a.m. on national road number 50 towards Mszczonów, near the town of Krzyżówka.
As Patrycja Sochacka from the Żyrardów police informed us, the driver of the bus lost control of the car and went off the road. – No one was hurt, the driver was fined – she said.
Suddenly there was a fire
The police cleared the collision, and the services remained on the scene to pull the car from the side of the road. That's when the problems began.
– The fire broke out in the lower part of the car after the collision, when the car was pulled onto a tow truck – says Artur Węgrzynowicz, a reporter from tvnwarszawa.pl
Firefighters intervened. – The fire was extinguished, traffic on national road number 50 is proceeding normally. Four fire brigades were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters are monitoring the vehicle, checking the temperature of the electric batteries in the vehicle, the action may take several hours – says Senior Captain Jarosław Belina, from the Żyrardów fire department.
