Police officers from Żyrardów's traffic police department intervened in the case of a dog left in a hot car. – The officers were alerted by a security guard at the water park. They freed the quadruped from the deadly trap and handed it over to the vet – describes a spokeswoman for the local police.
On Thursday afternoon, the officer on duty at the Żyrardów police station received a report that a small dog had been left in a hot car in the parking lot at the water park.
“The police were alerted about the trapped animal by a security guard who was passing by the car. The officer on duty passed the report to the traffic patrol, which quickly arrived at the scene,” informs Patrycja Sochacka, spokeswoman for the Żyrardów police.
He added that the windows of the parked BMW were slightly lowered, but due to the heat, this did not ensure the animal's safety.

“The outside temperature was close to 30°C, and the car was parked in a partially sunny spot. The police entered the vehicle through the trunk, took the dog out and immediately gave it water. The owners were not around, so the dog was taken to a veterinary clinic, where it was placed under professional care,” the spokeswoman describes.
Even though the whole situation ended happily for the dog, its owners face legal consequences.
