Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz said at the “Army-Samoąg” conference in Poznań that he is for mandatory training in crisis management for local government officials. He added that work on the manual indicating how to behave in crisis situations is completed.
On Friday, the head of the Ministry of National Defense took part in the “Army-Samoąg” conference in Poznań. During the conference after a meeting with local government officials Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz He said that he was supporting the introduction of compulsory crisis management training for local government officials at various levels.
– Local government officials must improve their qualifications and skills. That is why the training in crisis management that we prepare will also apply to local government officials, and they should be compulsory in my opinion, just for local government officials. Whoever does not have such skills is unfortunately not able to perform the functions that are entrusted to him. Here, he must be full of decision -making and crisis management – said Kosiniak -Kamysz.

The flood “exposed the shortcomings”
According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, last year's flood in southwestern Poland “exposed the deficiencies” in this area. – We are now catching up with courses, training of the Academy of Martial Arts – he noted, adding that this type of certified courses should be mandatory for all local government officials.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense also informed that work is to work on creating a textbook devoted to reacting to crisis situations. – A textbook in a version for adults, but also in the kids version. This year it will reach every Polish home – he announced.

He emphasized that currently talks with Poczta Polska regarding the distribution of the textbook, as well as with local governments regarding its promotion.
