At the New York Laguardia airport, the Delta passenger aircraft hit the wing with the runway during landing. There were 76 passengers, two pilots and two flight attendants on board. Nobody was injured.
“During the landing, the left wing of the jet hit the runway, as a result of which the pilots decided to stop the landing maneuver and departure to the second circle” – according to the Monday report of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The incident occurred on Sunday evening during the Delta 4814 flight from Jacksonville, Florida to New York. There were 76 passengers, two pilots and two flight attendants on board.
The agency responsible for managing the airport Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced that no one was injured. The incident did not disturb the functioning of the airport.
In the audio recording from air traffic control, which is cited by the local WABC radio, the controller informed the pilot about the sparks coming out of one of the wings and asked if the crew felt any problems. The pilot replied not, but announced checking the situation.
Lot Delta was served by the Endeavor Air regional carrier.
Carrier's statement
“Endeavor Air flight crew followed the applicable procedures to safely move to the second circle at New York Laguardia airport. The aircraft landed safely. We apologize to our clients for the situation,” Delta said in a statement.
Earlier, a plane with passengers of the same Endeavor Air carrier had an accident in Canada. On February 17 this year in Toronto, the jet rolled over during landing and crashed. There were no fatalities at the time. Several people were injured, including one in serious condition.
