Ciechanów. After the collision, he drove away on three wheels. He should not lead at all

Two cars collided near Ciechanów. The 23-year-old drove away from the scene, but in his further escape he was disturbed by a broken wheel. It turned out that he should not get behind the wheel. He was drunk and had a lifetime ban on driving a lifetime. In an accelerated mode, he appeared in court.

Last Saturday after 10pm, the Ciechanów headquarters received a collision report in Nużewo.

“The reporting report showed that the BMW driver, most likely during the overtaking maneuver, hit her vehicle and then drove away towards Płońsk,” said asp. Magda Sakowska from the Poviat Police Headquarters in Ciechanów.

He was driving on three wheels

Policemen arrived. They determined that the perpetrator could not go far because he was not allowed to damage in the car. Their assumptions have confirmed. About a kilometer from the scene of the incident they found BMW with a broken wheel.

“The vehicle was driven by a 23 -year -old resident of the Płońsk poviat. A sobriety survey showed over 1.3 per mil of alcohol in the man's body. In addition, after checking in police databases it turned out that the man has a lifetime ban on driving vehicles,” said Sakowska.

The 23-year-old did not go alone. A 20 -year -old passenger traveled with him, who – according to the police – was also drunk.

He was in court in an accelerated manner

Both men were detained and went to police custody. The 23-year-old heard the charge of driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication and contrary to an active court prohibition.

Last Monday, less than 48 hours after detention, the man stood before the Ciechanów court, where he heard the sentence of the year and two months imprisonment as well as a lifetime ban on driving motor vehicles. The court also ruled a fine of PLN 10,000 for the victim Aid Fund and Post -Penitentiary Assistance.

As officers announced, the 23-year-old will also be responsible for causing a road collision.
