State-owned enterprise with nearly billion-dollar loss. “Big, sudden hole”
– This is a big, sudden low, because in the previous year the result was definitely better and in the black. And suddenly there is a big loss also in the core business of the company – added the deputy minister quoted by the Internet Radio Agency. In connection with the result of Polska Żegluga Morska, the ministry plans a comprehensive repair of the group's operations. – The selection of a new director of the company is underway. I am convinced that a person will be chosen who will be able to lead this company to further successes, which have already taken place – emphasized Marchewka.
PŻM director dismissed after company audit
In April this year, the Szczecin editorial office “Gazeta Wyborcza” announced that the position of the general director of Polska Żegluga Morska was lost Andrew Wróblewski. The group's spokesman Krzysztof Gogol informed at the time that the decision was made “after conducting a thorough audit of the company, which showed, among other things, the need to build a completely new development strategy of the company”. While waiting for the new director to be selected in a competition, the company is temporarily managed by Dariusz Doskocz.
