OLX Shipping with Protection Package
The service looks after the interests of its users, which is why they can use the Protection Package, which covers transactions with Przesy³ka OLX. As part of it, the platform allows the buyer to get a refund in the event of receiving an empty package or an item that does not match the description in the ad. The seller, on the other hand, if they sent an item that does not match the description in the ad, can receive its refund. And if, despite accepting the return, the buyer does not send the goods back, they will receive a payment in the amount for which they listed the item. How does it work in practice? First, let's explain what is meant by the term “item not matching the ad”. In simple words, it means that the item received does not match the description in the advertisement. As OLX explainsfor example: discrepancy between the item and the advertisement (title, description, photos of the product, its type, quantity, functionality). When the order has digital elements, e.g. a camera, battery or charger, they should be compatible. When they do not fit together or are simply missing, it is different than the seller assured, we have the right to return the product. Similarly, in a situation when the item turned out to be a different color; in a different size than the one indicated in the advertisement. We can also use the package when, as part of a transaction with the OLX Shipment option, it turns out that the delivered item is damaged, and we did not know this before purchasing it. If the item is used and the advertisement stated it was “new”, and the photos and other materials show that the item has no signs of use, we can also use the Protection Package.
Return and recovery of money step by step
OLX as one of the largest advertising services in Poland, constantly introduces solutions that protect the interests of buyers and sellers. The principles of operation of the OLX Shipping option, covered by the Protection Package, are really simple.
When the received item is consistent with the announcement, within 24 hours of receiving the parcel, in the Your parcels/You are buying tab, click “Order is OK”. This completes the transaction and finalizes the payment of money to the seller's account. If we do not confirm receipt of the parcel within the specified time, the system will automatically inform us that the operation was successful – the money for the sale will be paid to the seller.

How does the Protection Package work?
If the goods received by the buyer do not match their description in the advertisement or the package is empty, he has 24 hours to report a problem under the Protection Package. The procedure is very simple. You should:
- click the “I have a problem” button,
- choose one of two ways to report – directly to the seller or to the OLX team.
In the first case – if the seller accepts the return and the buyer sends the item back and receives a refund, the procedure is completed.
If the buyer decides to refer the case to the OLX team, which is suggested in the case of empty packages, then the procedure is as follows:
- within a maximum of 30 calendar days, the OLX team issues a decision and informs interested parties about it,
- after accepting the application, the buyer has 72 hours to complete the return data,
- then the seller has 72 hours to pay for the return shipment and complete the data,
- the buyer has another 72 hours to send the parcel,
- If the application is rejected, the seller will be paid the amount for which the item was advertised.

Buyer:
- They can choose the way to resolve any disputes with the seller – submit a request directly to the seller or use the support of the OLX team.
- The package allows for a refund if the purchased item was inconsistent with the content of the advertisement and was returned or if the package was empty.
- If the seller does not pay the return shipping on time, the buyer keeps both the item and the money.
Seller:
- If you sent an item that is not as described in the ad, you will receive it back thanks to OLX returns
- If, despite accepting the return, the buyer does not return the goods to the seller, the seller will receive payment for the sale.
