ISW: Russia is strengthening cooperation with these countries
As noted, during the ceremony in St. Petersburg one could see ships belonging to the Navy Chin, Algeria i India. What's more, the celebration was attended by representatives of 31 countries, including Azerbaijan, VenezuelaVietnam, CubaLibya, Myanmar, Syria, QatarUnited Arab Emirates and South African Republic.
ISW emphasizes that there were also several meetings. “Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin met with the commander of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, Hu Zhongming and discussed cooperation between Russia and China in the maritime sphere,” analysts note.

Fomin also met with the Navy Commander Mjanmythe chief MSZ Sergei Shoigu with its Malaysian counterpart.
“Russia has recently tightened its cooperation with many of these countries.including Venezuela, Cuba, India and Vietnam,” ISW analysts point out.
Russian Navy Day. Part of the celebrations canceled
The celebration of the Russian fleet, or Navy Day is celebrated every year throughout Russia. The most important part of the celebrations take place in St. Petersburg, from where ships sail to the naval base in the city Kronstadt.
