In a fire in two halls on Wodna Street in Krakow, which occurred on the night from Friday to Saturday, about a thousand electric scooters and batteries were burned. There are no injuries.
– On the night from Friday to Saturday, a fire broke out in halls in Krakow. Firefighters received the report at 2:25 a.m. – Junior Captain Hubert CiepÅ‚y from the Krakow fire department told TVN24.
– L-shaped halls measuring 50×12 and 20×12, which contained paper materials and about 1,000 scooters and about 1,000 spare batteries, were completely burnt down – he said. – The roof on one of the halls completely collapsed. Firefighters managed to defend the third hall, which contained about 2,000 car batteries and tires – he added.
There were no injuries in the incident. At its peak, nearly 50 firefighters were involved in the operation.
Demolition work is underway on the remains of two buildings. Experts are determining the cause of the fire.
