– Someone takes a photo of you, posts it on Snapchat, and the group laughs at you. Or no one wants to do a class project with you. Cyberbullying and so-called relational violence are the two most common forms of harassment that young people encounter. Adults have no idea about the problems of students. I myself have struggled with anxiety in the past. I was the first person at school to say out loud that I was seeing a psychotherapist – says Dominik Kuc, the founder of the “GrowSpace” Foundation, which deals with the mental health of children and young people.

- Data on suicide attempts among people under 18 years of age is growing year by year. In 2023, as many as 2,139 teenagers attempted suicide. 146 people died.
- There is no nationwide program of so-called suicide prevention and postvention in schools.

- According to data from the GrowSpace Foundation, the number of psychologists in schools increased in 2023. However, as many as 308 municipalities still do not have a person employed in such a position.

Iga Dzieciuchowicz: – Every year, the “GrowSpace” Foundation, of which you are a member, publishes new data on suicides and suicide attacks among children and young people. These are terrifying numbers that are still growing. In 2022, 2,093 suicide attacks were recorded, of which 156 ended in death. Last year, there were 2,139 attacks, 146 people died.
