PKO BP showed the audit results. There will be five reports to the prosecutor's office

“External audit companies and law firms with the support of internal auditors, lawyers and managers Bank conducted audits of the activities of the PKO Bank Capital Group Polish for the period from January 2016 to mid-February 2024,” PKO Bank Polski said on Monday, September 30, in a statement that quotes tvn24.pl.

Irregularities identified as part of the audits carried out concern:

  • concluding contracts with suppliers,
  • spending on advertising campaigns,
  • sponsorship agreements,
  • violations of regulations when providing support by the PKO BP Foundation,
  • ineffective property management,
  • cooperation with contractors,
  • employing employees and collaborators.

PKO BP informed that the results of the audits were: conclusions for failure to grant discharge for 2023 to former members of the management board of PKO Bank Polski and subsidiaries PKO BP Finat and PKO TFI.

“The audit results will serve as the basis for submitting five notifications on suspicion of committing a crime. They will concern suspected mismanagement and irregularities in the area of ​​real estate, in the human resources policy of the Bank and the Capital Group companies, as well as in the management and supervision of the PKO Bank Polski Foundation” – it was emphasized in PKO BP announcement.

Szymon Midera, president of the management board of PKO Bank Polski, explained in a statement that “the identified irregularities are not only the result of violations of law or internal regulations, but also of failure to apply standards and good practices in the management of entrusted assets.”
