– Fighting in the Kursk Oblast has been going on for three months now and we are maintaining the necessary pressure on Russia in this sector, he said Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening speech. Earlier, the President of Ukraine met with the highest commanders. The talks concerned, among others: weapons production in Ukraine, army needs and drone supplies.
Russia: Ukraine attacks in the Kursk region
– Today, an extensive report was published on our activities on the front, on all defense operations, as well as on… Kursk operation. Meanwhile, the head of military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, submitted a detailed report on the processes taking place in the enemy's system and our influence on them. There was also a report by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on the details of cooperation with partners, Zelensky said.
As the president said, Ukraine must deploy modern missiles on its territory and use them to achieve faster results on the battlefield. – We place particular emphasis on our national missile program. There must be more combat achievements both on the front and on Russian territory. Results are needed faster – Zelensky emphasized.
Volodymyr Zelensky: We will continue to put pressure
The president revealed that the Ukrainian side is also working on further projects sanctions aimed at citizens who committed treason and entities acting for Russia.
– We continue to work on sanctions – two new packages of sanctions were applied today: regarding those who betrayed Ukraine, as well as regarding military production in Russia, legal and natural persons who work for terror, Zelensky said.
– We will continue to put pressure on the enemy in harmony with everyone in the world who, like Ukrainians, wants real peace, the president emphasized.
Reuters notes that in the Kursk region Ukrainian forces occupied dozens of villages. Moscow, in turn, claims that it managed to regain part of the territory. Meanwhile, Russian troops are recording successes in Donetsk Oblastwhere they move forward. The region has become the focal point of the Kremlin's offensive in Ukraine.
