Smoke was noticed on the SKM train on Wednesday morning. Due to the failure, passengers at the Gdańsk Wrzeszcz station had to leave the train. There are delays.
On Wednesday, around 7 a.m., the manager of the SKM train on the Gdańsk Główny-Wejherowo route noticed smoke inside the train. At the Gdańsk station, Wrzeszcz asked passengers to leave the carriages. Tomasz Złotoś, SKM spokesman, informed about the failure.
– There was smoke visible inside, which made further driving impossible – he said, noting that no one was hurt.
Delays and canceled train
Firefighters are working on site to determine the source of the smoke. It is possible that there was a short circuit in the electrical installation.
The SKM spokesman added that there are delays of several minutes in the running of other trains. He explained that SKM trains in both directions run on the opposite side of the platform.
