Deputy Minister of Defense Cezary Tomczyk (KO) appeared on Thursday afternoon at the Sejm podium to present to the MPs – as he had previously announced – “information regarding the destruction of the TU-154M-102 plane by the Smolensk subcommittee headed by A. Macierewicz”.

– Here I have a quote from Antoni Macierewicz, who said that: “it is completely untrue that the subcommittee for the re-examination of the air accident, of which I was the chairman, allegedly, as you publicly stated many times before, destroyed the TU-154M aircraft, side number 102, as well as cutting it with saws and grinders, and that the plane was allegedly destroyed in the years 2016-2019, until the prosecutor's office blocked it,” the deputy minister of defense quoted in the plenary hall.
As Tomczyk emphasized, “this is Antoni Macierewicz's theorem.”
– I would like to show you the truth in this matter and reveal part of the report, which will be publicly presented by the end of October, so that the public opinion, every Pole, can look at the facts in this case. Let me show you the condition of this plane today and what happened to it, he continued. – I will show you documentation from the inventory that was recently carried out, but also photos that were taken by the subcommittee itself – he announced.
At that moment, he presented multimedia materials on the projector that showed what “this plane looks like today.”

– Here it is clearly visible that in terms of the condition of the aircraft at the moment, there are numerous losses in the skin, including those resulting from cutting it out. He also showed a letter which – as he stated – “is one of the key pieces of evidence in this case, which will be presented in the report on the activities of Antoni Macierewicz.”

– It will soon be (available – editor) publicly for all of you. This is a letter from 2018, when he was the Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak. The letter is signed by Major General Pilot Jan Śliwka (…) and is addressed to the Ministry of National Defense, which is managed (managed at the time of sending the letter – editor's note) by Mariusz Błaszczak. I quote: “the conducted inventory shows, among others, damage to critical power elements of the airframe structure, i.e. the fuselage, aircraft wing, damaged frames, ribs, left wing skin, destroyed cover of the slot screw hoist, damage caused by the research activities of the subcommittee for the re-investigation of an air accident “The nature of the above-mentioned damage is permanent and irreversible,” concluded Tomczyk.
According to him, “this is the truth about how Antoni Macierewicz and his reconstruction group destroyed the Tupolev 154-M plane, side number 102.”
