Police officers from Radom detained a 34-year-old man who first robbed a store and then shot an air gun at an intervening security guard. It also turned out that the man was escaping on a bicycle that had been stolen a few days earlier. The suspect has already been charged and will be charged with robbery.

The incident took place at Żółkiewskiego Street in Radom. The man stole various industrial items and left the store. A store employee noticed this and when he intervened, the perpetrator of the theft shot him with an air gun and then rode away on a bicycle.

The bike was stolen a few days earlier

– After receiving information about this incident, the officer on duty immediately sent police patrols to the site. Then police officers from the Patrol and Intervention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom quickly intervened and half an hour later they detained a man matching the description of the perpetrator in the area. A 34-year-old resident of Radom was placed in a police cell – said Justyna JaÅ›kiewicz from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Radom.

Additionally, as the police determined, the bicycle the man was riding was also the result of a crime – he had stolen it a few days earlier from one of the housing estates in Radom. The bike was handed over to the owner.

– The man was taken to the prosecutor's office, where he was charged. He will be charged with robbery. Investigators requested that the 34-year-old be subject to a preventive measure. By decision of the court, he will spend the next three months in custody. The crime he committed is punishable by up to 10 years in prison – concluded JaÅ›kiewicz.
