The prosecutor's office decided to continue the investigation into the attack on Magdalena Biejat (Left Wing). The investigation has already been discontinued twice due to the failure to detect the perpetrator.
Information about the continuation of the investigation was confirmed to us by prosecutor Mateusz Martyniuk, press spokesman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. – The case will be continued by the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw – he said.
This information was first reported by RMF FM radio. As reported by the radio station, the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw decided that it was premature to discontinue the proceedings by district investigators due to the failure to detect the perpetrator.

A politician was sprayed with gas during a protest
Goes about the events of November 18, 2020 at Powstańców Warszawy Square in the capital, when a policeman used gas on the then member of the Sejm (today deputy speaker of the Senate) Magdalena Biejat. The MP argued that she was at the protest related to the tightening of abortion law as part of a parliamentary intervention. That day, there were fights between protesters and security services.

The prosecutor's office returns to discontinued cases
The prosecutor's office also returned to two other legally discontinued cases related to the Women's Strike. These concern proceedings concerning an ABW driver and a policeman. The first one drove into a group of protesters, the second one broke a woman's arm.
In February 2024, the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar received “an appeal signed by Lech Wałęsa and a group of outstanding personalities of Polish social life to review and analyze cases in which there is any suspicion that they may have been politically motivated.”
In response, Bodnar “ordered, among other things, to conduct an examination of the validity of substantive decisions taken in several dozen cases regarding the possibility of committing crimes against and by participants of marches organized by socially active organizations in 2016-2023.”
