They were for optical technology, but above all it turned out to be exactly that artificial intelligence needs this type of integrated circuits and today it is one of the richest companies in the world – says Rafał Trzaskowski in the recording that has already circulated on the Internet.
Rafał Trzaskowski's mistake. He turned Nvidia into a start-up
Nvidia is indeed one of the most valued companies in the world and has achieved this status in recent years thanks to the development of AI, but it was certainly not an anonymous company four years ago. It was founded in 1993 and for several decades it has been one of the largest manufacturers of graphics cards and processors in the world, well known to everyone who is even a little interested in technology. Rafał Trzaskowski was the Minister of Digital Affairs from December 3, 2013 to September 22, 2014.

However, on the video strip that is circulating on the Internet and is a shot of a Polsat news program, there is a piece of the inscription “Faculty of Political Science, University of Warsaw”. The president of Warsaw himself added information that on Thursday evening he performed at this faculty of the Warsaw university. Rafał Trzaskowski has a recipe “how to defend Polish interests”
At the University of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski presented “a simple recipe on how to defend Polish interests in times of political turmoil in Europe”:
- The EU must focus on solving problems, not discussing reforms of institutions and law. We need a larger budget to effectively implement common policies and demonstrate citizen agency.
- We cannot be afraid of protecting our own market. If Polish entrepreneurs and farmers are to meet ambitious environmental and climate protection goals, we must protect them against imports from markets whose producers are not subject to such regulatory pressure. Competition must be fair.
- There is no consent to the centralization of the EU budget discussed in the EC and the omission of money for regions or cities. It's down there that people know better what investments they need. This is where there is strong democratic control and this is where – in regions and cities – there is a strong barrier against populism and extremes. Whoever doesn't understand this doesn't understand anything.
- Finally, the EU must take a stronger stance on the security of all of us. Today, Poland is a leader in NATO, which gives us military security. And now it's time for the EU to become more involved in the security of external borders, the protection of civilians and the fight against “algorithms on steroids” that flood us with false information and sow confusion. Here too, Poland must be a leader.
Rafał Trzaskowski is tipped as the Civic Platform's candidate for president. However, Donald Tusk's party has still not announced who it will field for the 2025 elections.
