Irena Santor finished with her persecutor in court

Irena Santor avoided this topic for many years. Let us recall that the singers were returning by car at night from a television broadcast in Łódź to Warsaw. The car that skidded and hit a tree was driven by Ludmiła's husband – composer Jerzy Abratowski. Like Irena Santor, nothing happened to him. Soon after, a dangerous woman stood in the way of the first lady of Polish song. She sent her threats and harassed her at work. The star revealed that she was afraid for her life. – It was dramatic and ended in court. A certain girl thought that I was the reason for Ludmila Jakubczak's death. (…) It was so sad that this girl kept coming up to me, waiting for me in front of the Syrena Theater, where I worked at the time. And these letters were ominous. The police dealt with it and it ended in court, so she was punished – explained the singer.

After many years, Irena Santor received another letter from her persecutor

Interestingly, after some time the persecutor realized the seriousness of her behavior and regretted it. – Years later, she wrote to me and said she was very sorry for all this, but… she was young and foolish thenshe added Irena Santor. However, she did not reveal whether she reacted to the news and forgave the woman. Fortunately, most of the letters the artist received over the decades of her impressive career were nice. – I remember this one especially because it was a letter from a soldier. He wrote to me that he was watching me and that he understood that the artist needed money for clothes and black coffee, so he sent me 50 zlotys from his pay. And he sent it systematically for a year. I sent it back to him, but he didn't get bored with it. After a year, he sent PLN 100 a month, but after two years he stopped. I think he finished his military service, the star concluded.
