The prosecutor's office is investigating the case of an accident in Wesoła, where a car with five teenagers ran off the road late on Saturday evening. Five people aged 13 to 21 were injured. The 16-year-old suffered the most.
Norbert Woliński, spokesman for the Warsaw Praga District Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that the materials were received on Monday by the Warsaw Praga-Południe District Prosecutor's Office. – The prosecutor, after analyzing the materials, will make a decision on the classification of the act – prosecutor Woliński.
He added that the accident involved men: the driver aged 21 and passengers aged 17, 17, 16 and 13. The most seriously injured was a 16-year-old whose condition, according to the prosecutor, is still described as “life-threatening.”
The 13-year-old had the least severe injuries, described as “lasting less than seven days.”
The car hit a sign and trees
– An examination of the collision site and vehicles was carried out – said the spokesman. He also informed that the passengers were not under the influence of drugs.
He also confirmed the course of the event, which had previously appeared in the media. The first findings show that the 24-year-old driver of the Kia was turning left when the Skoda collided. The 21-year-old lost control of the wheel, drove to the side of the road, hit a sign and then hit a tree.
The engine fell out of the car
Let's remember: to the accident occurred on Saturday after 10 p.m at the intersection of Niemcewicza and Narutowicza streets in Wesoła. As tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz found out at that time, two passenger cars collided: a Kia and a Skoda. – After the collision with the Kia, the Skoda drove off the road and fell into nearby trees. Its rear part hung in the air and the engine fell several meters away – he reported.
