When asked how the Civic Coalition selects a presidential candidate, the TVN24 guest replied that “it will be a decision of the management board.” – Later, of course, there will be a National Council, a convention that will confirm this choice. However, at the moment there is no decision whether we will hold primaries or not. There will be a decision of the management board on this subject as well, Trzaskowski said.
The Mayor of Warsaw emphasized that “one thing is important today.” – These are such fundamental elections, so important, that it is natural that various politicians have ambitions. And that's good. It is natural that they present themselves and are active, because this also favors the Civic Coalition. However, in the end, the most important thing is not to harm the candidate. Because any competition that would take place in the light of cameras could later be used by the competition – he commented.
– I don't think any of us are afraid of this type of competition. It is absolutely clear that we have many politicians in the Civic Coalition who have the competence to hold high positions. However, here we have to make a wise decision. The most important thing is that we enter this campaign very strongly, because the president will have an influence on whether democracy will be fully defended in Poland or not, added Trzaskowski.
– We know well that in order to fulfill a large part of our promises, we need a president who will not veto most of the government's decisions – he noted.

Trzaskowski was also asked about the project regarding partnerships, which raises doubts among one of the coalition partners – PSL.
– I would really like to see this project finally passed. I want to say that the minister compromised when it comes to the project itself. And here he shows a really great ability to reach such a compromise, because it is important that we finally have a law, he said.
– And I would encourage my colleagues from PSL to also show their ability to compromise here, because for us, for the Civic Coalition, for the Left, this project is simply very important. And I hope that it will be voted on and that PSL will draw conclusions from the fact that we should reach an agreement on this matter – he emphasized.

– I'm here to make sure we don't intensify conflicts, because it won't bring us anything good. And I am not here to solely criticize my colleagues who co-rule the country. Therefore, I simply calmly encourage people not to use strong words, to sit down at the table and just talk about it – noted Trzaskowski.
He said that “the vast majority of Polish men and women support these provisions.” – Over the last few years, there has been a dramatic change in the attitude of the majority of our society to this project. And I think that PSL should listen to the pulse of our society and simply agree to let this project enter the Sejm and vote for these solutions – he added.
