– You faint when you see such a bill. He received over PLN 20,000 from Enea. My wife and I paid it because we didn't have time to explain the situation, even though it seemed illogical. Our son had a difficult operation then, and we had not seen the rest of the world. That's why we paid as much for electricity as they told us so that they wouldn't cut off the power at home – said Mr. Tomasz in an interview with tvn24.pl.

At the same time, he emphasized that he did not agree with such settlements. – This is a state within a state. This is unbelievable to me, he said. In the settlement invoice for 2023 issued at the end of March 2024, Enea stated the amount to be paid at over PLN 21,000. zloty. – Since 2019, we have been living in a 100-meter new cottage. Everything is insulated. We also have photovoltaics, which cost us PLN 50,000. We did heating fireplaces with a water jacket and heat recovery. All activities were aimed at saving electricity bills – explained Mr. Tomasz.

Then he noticed that he received “cosmic forecasts” for 2024 – PLN 4,000 for two months. Meanwhile, in 2019-2021 he paid PLN 11,000 for electricity. PLN, and from 2022 to 2024 he paid PLN 27,000. PLN (not counting the latest bill in the amount of over PLN 21,000). – For several months we write complaints to Enea, we go to customer service points. We tried to logically explain that it is impossible for us to have such electricity consumption. It's not like we do this every day pizza“We don't have a bakery,” he said.

Mr. Tomasz also said that at the end of June 2024, Enea notified him about the analysis carried out and considered the complaint “unfounded”. – My wife and I started looking through the documents, then I asked Enea for all the service reports. We see, someone has changed the tariff. The meter operates in the G11 tariff, even though we have a signed contract for G12 – he explained. – We have electric heating. The reports following my interventions show that service work was carried out on the meter. The July document already shows the G12 tariff, but without any feedback to us. Did they realize that something was wrong and secretly want to fix it? – he added.

tvn24.pl contacted the energy company Enea. – After a thorough analysis, it was determined that when changing the contract related to the installation of micro-installations, the tariff group was incorrectly assigned. From that moment on, settlements were carried out using the G11 tariff, instead of the G12 tariff. We apologize to our client for the situation, said Berenika Ratajczak, Enea's spokeswoman.

The energy company admitted that the man had an overpayment of over PLN 40,000. – We are currently preparing corrections to invoices that will include proper settlement. The customer will be informed about the actions we have taken and will soon receive the correct settlement in separate correspondence – concluded the representative of Enea. There are also ongoing discussions about high electricity consumption forecasts.
