Former US ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher believes that Donald Trump understands that Poland is the new leader of Europe and his victory is good news for it. She was also asked whether she was ready to undertake another diplomatic mission in our country.
– I think that our victory yesterday is really good news for Poland, which I can say with confidence because I know it Donald TrumpI know Poland and Poles themselves know what we achieved during our first term, said the former ambassador USA in Poland Georgette Mosbacher.
– Donald J. Trump knows that Poland is now our most important ally NATOunderstands that Poland is a new leader in Europe and will show Poland the respect and attention it deserves and has earned, she emphasized.
The former ambassador and good friend of the president-elect assured that Trump “will fulfill his promise to end the war in Ukraine.”
– It won't be like he'll just abandon her Ukraine and give her territory. Trump is not the type to give up. And when he makes deals, he does them properly. He would not be a successful negotiator if each side was not satisfied. He will not be afraid of Putin and understands his aggression, Mosbacher argued. She added that although she could not reveal the details, she had talked about these plans with people from Trump's closest circle.
Will Georgette Mosbacher return to Poland?
– This is a short list of really good specialists – she noted, refusing to provide the names of candidates for the highest positions in Trump's cabinet.
When asked if she would return to Poland, she replied that her work in Poland was highly praised by Trump and that she “hopes to return to public service.” She added that “she is ready for it”
– Regardless of what role I play, I love Poland, it is in my blood now, and whoever becomes the next president of Poland, I will do everything I can to support the relationship between Poland and the United States, said Mosbacher.
Commenting on Trump's decisive victory, she said it “represented a strong mandate to govern and was a rejection by Americans of 'wokeism' and leftist ideology and mainstream media.”
– I'm also glad that it was a reaffirmation of the democratic process and a way for the people to express their voice in a democracy. This showed that the liberal press does not have the influence we sometimes attribute to it. People can think for themselves, and social media, the liberal mainstream media, this was the day they rejected it, showing that we, Americans, are people who think independently, Mosbacher said.
