This is a huge contract, a gigantic contract worth one billion PLN 320 million for the Polish arms industry – said Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz when signing the contract for the supply of support vehicles for the LANGUSTA missile launchers.

On Friday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, a contract was signed for the supply of support vehicles for WR-40 LANGUSTA multi-launch rocket launchers.

Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz he emphasized that these launchers, purchased by the Polish Army for several years, work very well. – But in order for these missile launchers to be fully used, for the effectiveness of their operation on the battlefield to be fully exploited, they must have accompanying vehicles, the minister noted.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense said that these vehicles will be used by command staff, but also by transporting ammunition. – In all these areas, this transport security is needed – emphasized Kosiniak-Kamysz.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense stipulated that he could not inform how many accompanying vehicles would be delivered because – as he explained – this was sensitive information. – But the contract amount itself indicates that we will meet the requirements Polish army – he said.

The head of the Ministry of National Defense pointed out that the signed agreement is so important because “the system of communicating vessels will only function if all elements of the state's defense cooperate and coexist.” He pointed out that just as you cannot buy tanks without supporting vehicles, in this case you cannot buy rocket launchers without technical vehicles.

The minister announced that the Ministry of National Defense will implement “as many orders as possible” because security and economy are key issues for which the ministry is responsible. – For us, this is the most important issue: modernizing the Polish economy and building Polish security – he assured.

– We will fulfill our obligations. We scrupulously try to fulfill orders in accordance with the 50/50 rule. 50 percent of expenditures from the Ministry of National Defense go to the Polish arms industry, 50 percent of purchases made from our allies. It is very important for us to invest in Polish industry – added Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Contract for accompanying vehicles for WR-40 LANGUSTA multi-launch rocket launchers

The subject of the contract between the State Treasury – Armament Agency and the consortium consisting of: Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa SA, Huta Stalowa Wola SA (leader), is the delivery of several dozen accompanying vehicles for 3 division modules of WR-40 LANGUSTA multi-launch rocket launchers.

The detailed scope of the contract implementation includes the delivery in 2027-2028 of command and staff vehicles and command vehicles, ammunition vehicles and weapons repair workshops equipped with the Polish ZZKO TOPAZ command and control system.

Additionally, as part of the value of the contract, ZZKO TOPAZ modification will be carried out in all already delivered WR-40 LANGUSTA launchers, consisting in the use of the latest means of communication, computers and software for cooperation with the newly acquired command vehicles. In addition, the contract includes, among others: delivery of a logistics and training package.
